We’ve learned through a slew of life experiences that none of us are promised tomorrow. We cling to Jesus and fully realize that if we’re still breathing, God still has a purpose for us here on this earth. For that reason, we love using the talents and passions the Lord has given us to encourage others and magnify the beauty we witness in His Creation around us. 

Regarding Documentary Family Photography Sessions… Rather than striving to curate perfection with our clients, we’re drawn to the truly genuine and natural parts of life. We believe there is beauty in those raw, everyday moments and those are the ones that families will treasure for a lifetime because they are attached to real memories, feelings and experiences. Many of our clients end up adding on a printed Photo Album of their Sessions because they provide a priceless archive of their family story that is different than they’ve been used to with traditional family photo sessions of posed portraits. Some of our clients are moved to tears when they see how truly beautiful their family life is through the perspective of someone else. 

Regarding Art and Photography Classes… Rather than providing a step-by-step style of class where students are learning how to draw/paint/create specific pieces or skills (like in a paint & sip style class), we want to teach concepts and techniques that lead to open-ended, free expression through art. We teach people a new way to see the world around them, to see Jesus at the center of it all, and build their comfort with art skills and confidence to create at home. Many of our students have tried online classes or follow-along YouTube channels in the past, but they say the in-person, human factor of our classes helped them (or their kids) truly unlock their creativity and confidence.

When we met back in 2003 and persisted to challenge and push each other through our college Graphic Design and Art degrees, we had no idea that we’d go on to get married, and continue exploring many facets of the creative world through our own businesses. And what an incredible, wild ride it has been!

It was the year 2008 when we married in snowy Wisconsin and we later started Langhoff Creative in 2010. While we focused primarily on logo & website design and senior portraits at first, we quickly evolved into wedding photography, corporate event photography, full branding for all sizes of organizations, documentary family photography, and the occasional “Learn Photography” class offering. On the side, drawing, painting, and hand-crafted arts have always inspired our work.

For 8 wonderful years, we created together full-time to serve many around us, loving every minute of it. In North Carolina in 2018 though, after the Lord had seen fit to add two amazing children to our family, Amber received a cancer diagnosis and surgery that sent us sprinting down a new life trajectory. While Chad continued fulltime creative work, Amber needed to scale back. This new life trajectory included an intentional path toward Amber’s full healing (we will be forever praising God for granting us a miracle to kick that off!), learning to embrace slow living (yes, we sprinted toward slow), adding two more amazing children to our family, and a couple house moves to new cities and states.

Lancaster, South Carolina is now where we find our family of six happily putting our roots down. Now that we are surrounded by healthy communities, growing children and have a physical space prepared, the Lord has given us the green light to relaunch Langhoff Creative (2026), in a beautifully reimagined way that aligns with the beautiful new season of life we find ourselves in currently.

A few of his personal favorites along the way have been for Bright Side Youth Ranch, Art Metals Studio, Snap-on Tools, Impact Catalyst, and several local ministries.

• Over 20+ years experience in Photography for anything from product photography, portrait photography, documentary and photojournalism, sports, private events, and corporate events. His favorites along the way have included on-location images for Snap-on Tools events, Honor Flight Veterans Network, SkillsUSA, Team Penske and for ministry moments that have unfolded in many churches. On jobs, he has been honored to capture images of Mike Rowe, several Motorsport stars like Brad Keselowski, Austin Cindric, and Josef Newgarden , and even political figures including Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and President Trump. His sweet spot in the field of photography is definitely Corporate Events.

• Over 5 years experience in Videography for churches, small businesses and ministries. He enjoys creating and curating stories for organizations and people.
