The fall colors have been absolutely beautiful this season! What perfect weather we've been having to enjoy them, too! Last week I wandered around for a while with my camera at Petrifying Springs Park in Kenosha. That's one of my favorite places to walk. There are trees everywhere, trails, a dog park area, volleyball, grills, hills, river, you name it. It reeks peacefulness and screams for picnics, bike rides and hikes.

Crispy colors are on the ground everywhere you walk, making that perfect swooshing sound as your feet rustle through. Doesn't it just make you want to act like a child and kick them into the air as you briskly skip around? Or make a contest out of catching flittering leaves in the air as the breeze tosses them from high branches? Alright.....maybe that's just me??

Wow...there's just something about fall that brings a smile to my face and adds pep in my step. It does, however, warn me that winter is fast approaching around the corner!
