Horlick Senior | Embracing life and hoping to save it
Written by Amber - |
There are some who embrace life as it comes, live to the fullest, and enjoy the little things. I love Eva's expression in this shot—she came alive on that merry-go-round. LOVE it! What a blast we had during her unique senior session.
Eva just graduated from Horlick High School in Racine! Talk about exciting, right? She's got big plans for her future, too. In addition to embracing life every day, she is planning to save lives someday after studying pre-med at UW-LaCrosse in the fall. She hopes to be a neurosurgeon, heart surgeon, or a different kind of doctor.
While at Horlick, Eva was the Special Events Coordinator of the school's HOSA club (Health Occupations Students of America), a club for future health professionals. HOSA exists to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. You can tell Eva likes to help people on all levels. "I am also a Girl Scout. We have girls from from all over Racine. It inspires me to be unique and helpful."
Other fun facts about Eva? Well, she's an extremely fast reader and was also the second best breaststroke swimmer on her school's team. She could go for a fresh slice of watermelon any day and absolutely loves mind-bending movies like Inception. Smiling, Eva said, "My favorite holiday is Halloween because that day is the day everyone gets to be something they aren't." To underclassmen, she encourages, "Finish strong."
Well, even after getting to know Eva for a short period of time, I was inspired by her. I can't wait to hear about all you aspire to become, girl. Keep embracing life, go get those dreams and continue to be helpful always. You are beautiful! Best of luck at UW-LaCrosse!
