Why Miller Park is special to this Cardinals fan

Since the baseball season is winding down and my beloved Cardinals lost to the Giants last week in the National League Division Series, I realized that I never posted about the time Amber and I went to a Cardinals/Brewers game back in early September—a couple weeks before we moved to Raleigh, NC. At that time, the Cardinals and Brewers were fighting for first place in the National League Central Division and this series was pivotal to see who would make it to the Playoffs. Knowing this, I purchased the tickets months before the series in fear that I wouldn't get the chance to experience an amazing game in a very meaningful place with a beautiful woman.

Find out why Miller Park is so important to this Cardinals fan...

Using our gifts and pink boas to serve

On Saturday, we had the opportunity to work with our dear friend, Laura Juranek. She is an Intervarsity staff worker at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) where she started a campus chapter a couple years ago. The college students, all being artists, wanted to find a way to give back & serve their community together using their gifts and talents. Kelly, a freshman in the chapter, is even giving a presentation in a couple of days about the importance and impact of people simply investing their time & energy back into their communities—and also what that could look like from the artist's perspective.

Read about the idea the action step the MIAD students came up with and the sweet moments that unfolded...

A beautiful Milwaukee Cathedral Wedding | Eric & Julie

At the beginning of this month, we released some beautiful photos of Eric and Julie's wedding. I hope you had a chance to see their full gallery! We just HAD to share our favorite highlights of this special love story with you. Their winter wedding day was filled with deep spirituality, rich symbolism, sweet moments and even DQ ice cream cake. Eric and Julie's friends and family gathered at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Milwaukee to witness their marriage. After their chilly horse-drawn carriage ride, everyone met the Bride and Groom at historic Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center for a very elegant reception in the ornate banquet hall. I loved seeing the interaction of the families—everyone there knew that Eric and Julie were perfect for each other!

I hope you enjoy these highlights from their big day...

zach & stephanie's dreamy fall wedding

We are happy to declare, Zach and Stephanie got married! We have known these two for almost five years and we're so excited for them. Their beautiful fall wedding day was filled with smiles, happy tears and sweet memories. Thir childhood pastors married them at Evangelical United Methodist Church in Racine surrounded by their closest friends and family. Afterward, we headed to Milwaukee for a banquet reception (at the Clarion Hotel) and stopped for some photos of the wedding party in Grant Park. It was a bit chilly, but the rain held off long enough for us to capture some stunning, scenic shots... I was drooling over the way the rain made the bright colors shine for such a dreamy, fairytale backdrop—GORGEOUS.

Chad and I truly enjoyed the entire day with Zach, Stephanie and all of their guests. It was an honor to capture their ceremony and celebration. We can't wait to hear how the rest of their love story unfolds. I hope you enjoy these highlights from their big day...
