This afternoon after church, it was such a beautiful afternoon! The sun was finally shining, so I took full advantage of it when I got home (and after a good power nap, of course).

My camera and I mozied on over toward the Kenosha Metra station, which is a block from where we live. I've been passing it on my way to work over the last couple weeks and have noticed that the cherry blossom trees everywhere look stunning right now.

It has been on the windy side lately, so I was worried the blossoms would blow away before I got a chance to capture them.

Mission accomplished. It was still quite breezy today, but I bumped up the shutter speed to stop the motion as best I could. I took several shots of the trees, but this was my favorite from the batch.

I really like the perspective of the branch and the way the "city elements" (like the light posts & the train) set the mood and give you some context of the surroundings without being overly distracting.
