felt so small, loved
While in Washington, D.C. last week on a mission trip with some of our students, we got the opportunity to visit The National Cathedral. Wowie! Just standing inside of it made me feel so small in the midst of the towering Roman arches and immense mosaic stained glass windows. It was so grandiose and HUGE. I couldn't help but appreciate the architects and designers of the cathedral as I stood in wonderment with my chin in the air, looking in every which direction.
But, moreover, in that moment, I couldn't help but think about MY creator... if man could accomplish this marvel, think of the endless possibilities and capabilities of God, himself! It was at that moment that I felt SO loved. I can't even fathom all he is capable of, or any of the things he has up his sleeve for my life or for any of yours. I do know, however, that his plans are good (Jeremiah 29:11) which gives me excitement.
I hope you enjoy these two photos of the massive cathedral in D.C. Check out more of my D.C. landmark photos here.
"I want you to know all about Christ's love, although it is too wonderful to be measured. Then your lives will be filled with all that God is. I pray that Christ Jesus and the church will forever bring praise to God. His power at work in us can do far more than we dare ask or imagine. Amen." --Ephesians 3:19-21
