bryant & norah's summer wedding bliss
It was a very special July day when Bryant & Norah were joined in marriage. It was a full family celebration, complete with sentiment, friends, a live country band and even origami. The Kemper Center Chapel in Kenosha was the perfect location for their ceremony to take place and their reception continued at Strawberry Creek. Chad and I had SO much fun getting to know them and celebrating with their family and friends all day. We're so happy for this newlywed couple!
I hope you enjoy these highlights from their big day...
We loved the details in their preparations, as well as the beautiful home the ladies got ready in.
This Mother of the Bride was one of the most smiley we've met! So sweet.
Norah and her Bridesmaids had so much fun together—their friendships clearly run deep.
What a beautiful Bride... Even when unexpected things came up, she kept her cool and rolled with every detail, soaking it in with a smile on her face.
Ring bearer, 4-year-old Brandon, got to deliver this very important message at the ceremony.
I love this little moment Chad captured of Norah and her Dad before they walked down the aisle.
I mentioned that the day was a full family celebration. Bryant's son, Jacob, was the Best Man. Bryant and Norah not only made vows to each other at the altar, but they each made promises to Jacob regarding their new family commitments to each other. It was incredibly touching, leaving very few dry eyes in the chapel. They gave Jacob a couple gifts to symbolize their promises—one of them was a set of dog tags engraved with, "1 + 1 = 3".
The atmosphere created by this chapel (built in 1875) added to the emotion and sacred quality of their ceremony.
The smiles were seriously contagious. So much joy in the air!
This wedding party was an absolute blast to be around. We fed off of their energy.
Bride and Groom, now united in marriage.
Let the celebration begin!
Soon after our arrival to Strawberry Creek, we stole Bryant and Norah away for a few moments to let them enjoy the sunset together.
Priceless.
The bright colors decorating the reception reflected the feelings of everyone in attendance. The room was bursting at the seems with excitement.
During their first dance as a married couple, Bryant and Norah invited Jacob to join them for this tender moment.
There were several stations of different kinds of finger food—tasty treats everywhere! And Jacob's crafty origami creations could be found at every place setting. (So talented!)
Jacob fulfilled [and perhaps exceeded] his Best Man duties with the delivery of a thoughtfully prepared speech, explaining why he was happy his Dad married Norah and highlighting all the things he loves most about his Dad. It was sweet....and extremely funny! Jacob sure had a way with words & impressions at the microphone. I love these shots of all the kids at the wedding sitting and listening in support.
The energetic, fun mood of their reception was set by Saddlebrook, a lively country band out of Milwaukee. Norah & Bryant love country music! Even those in attendance who didn't, still had a blast with these guys! There were plenty of cowboy boots that made their appearance on the dance floor—including Norah's!
SO many people had fun with the photo booth at their reception, too! Thanks to Brian and Jenny of Wisconsin Photo Booth, guests put on silly props and left with a photostrip momento (and a copy for the Bride and Groom in their memory book). We highly recommend these two!
Congratulations again, Bryant and Norah! We loved the time we spent with you—it's so clear how much you love each other! There are wonderful things instore for your entire family, no doubt. Blessings to you all!
