Jacob & Ashlee | Christmas at a tree farm in Raleigh
|Written by Amber -|
When we casually met Jacob and Ashlee nearly two years ago at a conference in Atlanta, we did not imagine that today we'd be navigating life's journeys together as friends and roommates. We parted ways after the conference—us to home in Wisconsin and the two of them to home in Alabama. We kept in touch via text messaging and online video chats weekly. After seeing each other in person FIVE TIMES in our first year of friendship from across the country, we decided the whole "long distance relationship" thing wasn't going to work out. After lots of prayer, discernment and confirmation from the Lord, we all decided to meet in the middle(ish) and set up co-residence in Raleigh, NC.
Needless to say, we value the friendship of these two quite deeply. They push us in our faith and outside of our comfort zones. They challenge us, encourage us, inspire us and love us. They are like family to us. And, when they found out they were expecting a little girl, they officially made us family when they asked us to be the Godparents of their daughter, due in April! We are thrilled and can't wait for little Glenda Lee Anne ("Glenee") to arrive.
When Ashlee asked if we could take a couple quick photos of them for their Christmas card, of course we said yes! We chose to use this Mini Session as a way to spoil them a bit and thank them for their friendship. The Burleson Christmas Tree Farm down the road from where we live in Raleigh (near Knightdale, NC) was the perfect backdrop for this sweet Session.
Jacob & Ash, thank you for the opportunity to capture your love for one another and your growing little bun in the oven. You bring us so much joy and are such a blessing in our lives. Thanks for being amazing roommates and wonderful, fun friends. Merry Christmas to you both!
