Jake & Brooke, engaged on Christmas Eve

Jake loves Brooke. Like, so much so, that he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life with anyone else... On Christmas Eve, surrounded by Brooke's family in Raleigh, he surprised her with a marriage proposal. It turns out, Brooke loves Jake quite a bit, too, because she said Y-E-S !  It was such an honor for Chad and I to photograph these two lovebirds a couple days after the proposal when their excitement was still super fresh.

Merry Christmas | 2015

PEACE to you and yours on this Christmas Day! Today, Chad and I are soaking in peace, quiet and calm—it's our last Christmas as a family of two and our last one in an apartment. A Real Life Session inside their cozy Fort Mill home was perfect to capture their genuine laughter and love for each other.

I hope you enjoy this story and these sweet image highlights...

Raleigh Winterfest 2014

On Saturday, Chad and I went to our first downtown festival in Raleigh: Winterfest! Despite the rain, and even though it was 55°F (MUCH warmer than any "winter" celebration these northerners have had!) we very much enjoyed our experience. It turns out, you don't have to be able to see your breath to make it feel like Christmas. *wink, wink*
