home for the holidays
Christmas always = travel for us. In fact, by the time we got back, the Wrangler had logged over 780 miles. But at this point in our lives, we wouldn't have it any other way. Chad and I had a GREAT time over the Christmas Holiday. We were able to spend some very memorable, meaningful time with all of our family and many of our friends. Here are a few of the highlights from the 9 days:
- Brunch at The Cracker Barrel with Mom & Charlie and a wonderful stay at the "Johnson Inn"
- Sock Monkey received 2 outfits (he now realizes he was naked before Christmas...)
- Gift exchange and an amazing dinner with Mom & Charlie before the Christmas Eve service
- Charlie is introduced to the X-box while the girls stay up late playing board games
- Christmas morning with Dad, Jen and David with tasty treats all day
- A bonus visit from Aaron & Nicole, who also have family in Jackson, MI
- An obnoxious new game called "Quelf" (ask Dad about the rubber ducky stuck to his forehead...)
- An enjoyable afternoon with the extended Bedore Family (even Abby on skype!)
- Reminiscing of old times and updates on the new with some high school friends & cousins
- Safe travels to Illinois to have dinner with the extended Langhoff Family
- Gift exchange and yet another amazing meal with John, Jeanette, Kyle and Kelly
- Lunch with Grandma & Grandpa Schleuter, Aunt Sue and Erin
- Settlers of Catan marathon with Kyle and Kelly
- Buffalo Wild Wings dinner with some of Chad's high school friends
- Smooth travels back to Kenosha before ringing in the new year
