Why Miller Park is special to this Cardinals fan

Since the baseball season is winding down and my beloved Cardinals lost to the Giants last week in the National League Division Series, I realized that I never posted about the time Amber and I went to a Cardinals/Brewers game back in early September—a couple weeks before we moved to Raleigh, NC. At that time, the Cardinals and Brewers were fighting for first place in the National League Central Division and this series was pivotal to see who would make it to the Playoffs. Knowing this, I purchased the tickets months before the series in fear that I wouldn't get the chance to experience an amazing game in a very meaningful place with a beautiful woman.

Find out why Miller Park is so important to this Cardinals fan...

Setting The Trend On Glenwood South

Last week, through the course of a few fortunate circumstances, Chad and I were so honored to be the photographers at a Raleigh community event in the Glenwood South district. Several of the businesses there—restaurants, boutiques, salons, a new apartment complex, a car dealership, and countless other service-based businesses—were rallying together to show people what they have to offer. They threw a fun, free event for locals complete with live music, dancing, a fashion show, vendor booths, the unveiling of a few fancy Mercedes cars, and plenty of giveaways & drawings.

Check out more of the story, those involved and these fun event highlights...

WI to NC: the full scoop on our move

It's crazy to think that just over a month has gone by since we've been living in Raleigh. Within the first two weeks, we unpacked, got settled, shot our first Raleigh wedding, went to our new church, shot a high school senior portrait session, had meals with new people (and some we already knew), got our new driver licenses, found & bought a car to get around in, and even managed to take a nap in there somewhere. The following two weeks held a couple other Raleigh shoots, networking events, some more friend-making and a work trip to DC. To say we feel like we've been living in a whirlwind would be an understatement.

In this post, we share honestly about the emotions right before, during and after our move from WI to NC. We hope you enjoy our little slideshow, too.

Celebrating 4 years of Langhoff Creative

Langhoff Creative, established October 2010.

We're not exactly sure how it's possible we've been running Langhoff Creative for FOUR YEARS... God granted us this business, and He has never ceased to amaze us or provide for us along the way. All glory is HIS!

Chad and I are blown away when we think about all we've learned, all that has been accomplished, the improvements we've made, and all of the AMAZING people we've had the privilege of partnering with. We owe a huge thank you to each and every one of you who has had a hand in the growth of our business—whether by hiring us, engaging with us on social media, passing our name along to your friends, encouraging us, or praying for us.

Langhoff Creative has never looked better

We're SO excited to announce that we have a fresh, new look for our brand!

As we plan to move our business from southeastern Wisconsin to Raleigh, North Carolina next month (details on that move here), the timing seemed perfect for us to really think through our product/service offering, business plan, and our general vision for Langhoff Creative.

These last four years of running our own business have been quite the wild [exciting] ride and we have learned so much—about our own personalities, the types of clients we attract, our true passions, and the ways we prefer prioritizing our time. Mix those lessons with the dreams we have for our future in NC, and you've got Langhoff Creative 2.0!

Cards v. Rays at Busch Stadium

For Christmas last year, we got my brother, Kyle, and his wife, Kelly, tickets to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game at Busch Stadium. They could pick any date they wanted. The only catch was that they had to let us go with them. We ended up settling on July 22nd, when the Tampa Bay Rays would be in town to face off against the Cardinals.

We're embarking on a new adventure

If you've known me or Chad for any length of time, you probably know that we are not people who are willing to settle for the comfort zone. We're constantly trying to think outside the box as we keep our eyes peeled for the next adventure God has in mind for us. Every year we set aside time to dream about the future, set goals and then put a plan in place to reach them. This year, as we've been wrestling with the "What's next for us" question, we know God has called us to something big.

This one time: Cubs v. Cards at Wrigley Field

Back in April, a friend of mine sent me a Facebook message wondering if I would be interested in purchasing some Cubs/Cardinals tickets from her. I couldn't type fast enough to say yes to the idea. As a MASSIVE Cardinals fan, I couldn't pass up an ESPN Baseball Tonight game, while the Cubs are celebrating 100 years at Wrigley Field. The stars were aligned that glorious day.

This one time: Till Death Do Us Part

It was all going great for Stanley Simpson and Becky Giovanni on their wedding day... That is, until about midway through their reception. As guests arrived and mingled with each other, it became obvious that there were ulterior motives from the family and friends in attendance. There was rising tension in the air as we watched our night of food and fun transform into mystery and mayhem before our eyes.

Wait, what?? You have to get the full scoop on this wedding...

Remembering Our Freedom

Memorial Day Weekend is the beginning of many things:

  • Summer
  • Grilling and yard games
  • Outdoor activities
  • Camping & hiking
  • The first bad sun burn
  • Higher consumption of hot dogs and burgers
  • Crazy shopping deals at your local mall
  • Rebuilding the flip-flop callus between your toes

Even though the list can go on and on, I want to stop here for a second to remember the TRUE meaning of this holiday.
