Hopefully all the moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. We sent this hibiscus image to our moms, so thought I'd post it here to share. With more than 20 days of precipitation (some of it being snow or freezing rain—yuck) in the month of April, we are very much looking forward to our promised May flowers any time now.

it's a jeep thing...
Alright. Confession to anyone who doesn't already know: I am obsessed with Jeep Wranglers. I grew up going to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes(western shore of Michigan near Muskegon) with my family. To this day, that is [hands down] my favorite place on Earth. Spending time there and seeing all the fun the Jeeps had, it became my goal to have one some day.

winter retreat
This weekend, Chad and I both had an amazing time with our youth group and some great leaders. It was our annual high school winter retreat. With our group nearly doubling in size from last year's retreat, we were at Lake Geneva Youth Camp this year. We had an absolute blast!
