I’ve been pretty distracted lately, much more moody than normal, and definitely more hungry than normal (if you can believe that). Chad has been SO supportive & encouraging every day. We’re loving “home” in North Carolina and have been soaking it in one adventure at a time over the last year—it seems our next adventure will include a baby! Hearing his or her little heartbeat for the first time yesterday made it much more real for us. Lord-willing, we’re due April 30th!
Read MoreLately, Chad and I have been work-work-working away on SO many amazing images for our clients. We're finishing up the tale end of our busiest season of the year, and if you've been following us, you probably noticed we also just made a pretty big life change as we moved across the country. We're trying to finish current work, network ourselves, make new friends, and set up work for the future. We've been going at one speed for about a month now: FULL.
Today, it was time for a break! Here are some fun, fall highlights we wanted to share...
Read MoreIt's crazy to think that just over a month has gone by since we've been living in Raleigh. Within the first two weeks, we unpacked, got settled, shot our first Raleigh wedding, went to our new church, shot a high school senior portrait session, had meals with new people (and some we already knew), got our new driver licenses, found & bought a car to get around in, and even managed to take a nap in there somewhere. The following two weeks held a couple other Raleigh shoots, networking events, some more friend-making and a work trip to DC. To say we feel like we've been living in a whirlwind would be an understatement.
In this post, we share honestly about the emotions right before, during and after our move from WI to NC. We hope you enjoy our little slideshow, too.

We're constantly trying to think outside the box as we keep our eyes peeled for the next adventure God has in mind for us. Every year we set aside time to dream about the future, set goals and then put a plan in place to reach them. This year, as we've been wrestling with the "What's next for us" question, we know God has called us to something big.

We are beyond excited at this point! If you haven't yet heard, Chad and I are heading out on a Mission Trip to Whiteriver, Arizona in a group of 15 young adults from July 6 - 13, 2013. This unique group spans 4 states and 6 churches.
God has been in every detail of this trip, encouraging and teaching us each along the way. Read all about the adventures we've had leading up to this point and what we're looking forward to...
Read MoreWords sometimes can't describe the AWE of God. We try our best to create words but the words that we invent—like AWEsomeness—don't even scratch the surface of God's character and mystery. Amber and I have had the privilege to go on mission trips through our church's Youth Group for a handfull of years. We've served in the hills of Kentucky (2009), the streets of Washington, D.C. (2010), and the tent cities of Haiti (2011). When we returned from Haiti, God told us that it was time to transition out of youth ministry and into something new—Young Adult Ministry. We were a little nervous at first because we had been in youth ministry for 10 years, but we continued to understand that it was time for a new season. We’ve had unique opportunities to see God working firsthand and we wanted other young adults to be able to experience that too! We started asking God what we should do...
Read MoreOn a whim, we decided to head up to Milwaukee on Saturday with some of our good friends Adam and Melissa. It all started with a text from Adam wondering if we were interested in going to the Milwaukee Public Market. We looked at each other and we thought, "What the heck! Let's do this!"
