Our weekend in Oregon also challenged me to take some portraits of people, which I haven't experimented much with. Sara, Randy & Summer let me stalk them a bit on the beach during their tackle football game and also at The International Rose Test Garden in Portland (which has been there since 1917!).
The month of May was absolutely crazy... My husband and I were moving (yuck). Every available weekend & evening was consumed by packing, condensing, moving, unpacking, cleaning and rearranging.
It doesn't even matter how far you move - it's still the same old story - back & forth, back & forth, pack & unpack. We were mentally & physically exhausted. The good news: we're finally settled! I can't wait to get back in the habit of shooting again.
More good news: our new apartment is devoid of all color with its stark white walls, screaming for some fresh décor. Woohoo! I've needed a good excuse like this to inspire me to use my photography. I don't print photos NEARLY enough and I rarely display them at all (sad).
Aaron, Nicole, Chad and I drove up to Chippewa Falls, WI for the weekend. Aaron's Dad, Ralph, and his Dad's wife, Pat, live up there in a beautiful home. The last few summers we've made a point to visit for one excursion or another.
This time, it was the Chippewa Valley Air Show, featuring the Blue Angels. It had been YEARS since I had last seen them, and Chad had actually never been to an air show before, so needless to say, we were pretty pumped for the weekend events, even though they were forecasting thunderstorms for the whole weekend.
