The Collins Family | Real Life Session | Summer on the Farm

Here’s another old Session I can’t wait to share with you in the spirit of summer fun. This quick documentary shoot for the Collins family at their farm was part of some practice photography I was doing for a workshop I was taking back in 2016. Many of these laid inspiration and vision for what I strive for in my current Sessions!

The Hayslette Home | Real Life Session '18

There are an infinite amount of memories created inside homes. When Cody came to me with the idea of documenting his family interacting in their home before their parents sell it, I got SO excited. Cody and his brother basically grew up in this beautiful Wake Forest home with their parents and grandmother. Their interactions in this space are representative of so many special times together.

Welcome, Audo! | Documentary Newborn Session '18

When I photographed Alex and Katie's Maternity Session back in January, none of us had any idea that their sweet baby would be born just eight days later! Yet, I walked away so impressed and inspired by what I witnessed!

Why We Had Our "Boring" Documented

In 2015, if you had asked me about my life, I would have told you it was boring. We were in the midst of a tough transition that I hope never to repeat. In this post, I highlight some of the reasons we had a professional photographer come document us anyway. The day-to-day scenes of our 2015 did not seem note-worthy at the time and certainly would not have been memorable, had they not been captured for us. These beautiful photographs turned our ordinary moments into cherished memories.

What I do with all my personal photos

I recently started my second 365 photo project. Because I'm adding new photos nearly every day, organizing all of these is important. It would be a pity for all of these images to remain hidden in the digital bowels of my computer forever... I wanted to share a little about my workflow and a few things I do with these images as inspiration for anyone reading. PLUS, get a FREE Chatbook with my referral link inside!
