George is very passionate about baseball and his parents spend LOTS of time with him at the diamonds during this season. Having the "in action" moments captured of him on the Tigers team meant a great deal to them. Team portraits are nice to have, but check out this journalistic approach to sports photography. Go, George!
Read MoreHere’s another old Session I can’t wait to share with you in the spirit of summer fun. This quick documentary shoot for the Collins family at their farm was part of some practice photography I was doing for a workshop I was taking back in 2016. Many of these laid inspiration and vision for what I strive for in my current Sessions!

Read MoreThere are an infinite amount of memories created inside homes. When Cody came to me with the idea of documenting his family interacting in their home before their parents sell it, I got SO excited. Cody and his brother basically grew up in this beautiful Wake Forest home with their parents and grandmother. Their interactions in this space are representative of so many special times together.

They were still tossing around names for boys and girls at that time... On January 21st, they found out—it was a boy! I loved documenting their season as new parents of a precious, healthy newborn! The interaction of their dogs changed a little, and both grandmothers were present for this extra-special Session. Enjoy these image highlights...
Read MoreAbout five months ago, I had the honor of documenting the daily life of one of my favorite families. Not only am I encouraged by the way Blake and Jessica lead their family, but their practices of faith, health and wellness are beyond inspiring! This Session is memorable for lots of reasons I think you'll agree with: adorable kids, sweet cuddles, wood chip eating, nose-picking, surprise visit from a slimy critter, sibling squabbles, family dinner, and more.

Read MoreIn 2015, if you had asked me about my life, I would have told you it was boring. We were in the midst of a tough transition that I hope never to repeat. In this post, I highlight some of the reasons we had a professional photographer come document us anyway. The day-to-day scenes of our 2015 did not seem note-worthy at the time and certainly would not have been memorable, had they not been captured for us. These beautiful photographs turned our ordinary moments into cherished memories.

It would be a pity for all of these images to remain hidden in the digital bowels of my computer forever... I wanted to share a little about my workflow and a few things I do with these images as inspiration for anyone reading. PLUS, get a FREE Chatbook with my referral link inside!
