new love: canvas prints

The month of May was absolutely crazy... My husband and I were moving (yuck). Every available weekend & evening was consumed by packing, condensing, moving, unpacking, cleaning and rearranging.

It doesn't even matter how far you move - it's still the same old story - back & forth, back & forth, pack & unpack. We were mentally & physically exhausted. The good news: we're finally settled! I can't wait to get back in the habit of shooting again.

More good news: our new apartment is devoid of all color with its stark white walls, screaming for some fresh décor. Woohoo! I've needed a good excuse like this to inspire me to use my photography. I don't print photos NEARLY enough and I rarely display them at all (sad).

air show in the rain

Aaron, Nicole, Chad and I drove up to Chippewa Falls, WI for the weekend. Aaron's Dad, Ralph, and his Dad's wife, Pat, live up there in a beautiful home. The last few summers we've made a point to visit for one excursion or another.

It had been YEARS since I had last seen them, and Chad had actually never been to an air show before, so needless to say, we were pretty pumped for the weekend events, even though they were forecasting thunderstorms for the whole weekend.

pack rats
As of midnight last night, we're officially living in our new apartment! This could not have been possible without the help of our 2 best friends in the world. The four of us moved the last of the furniture and some odds & ends with 3 vehicles all day yesterday. Our old apartment is looking quite empty now... it's sort of eerie, actually! The new apartment is piled with a mess of boxes and tubs and the unpacking adventure will soon begin.

pack it up, move it out
We made a big decision: we're going to move! Well, actually we already started. Over the past couple of weeks we've been working on packing, condensing, purging, and sorting all of our stuff. It's been fun to find all of the old, reminiscent items like toys, games, and photos. We enjoyed having fun with them during our little packing breaks. I can't believe how much we are able to condense...it's so liberating to get rid of things!
