George is very passionate about baseball and his parents spend LOTS of time with him at the diamonds during this season. Having the "in action" moments captured of him on the Tigers team meant a great deal to them. Team portraits are nice to have, but check out this journalistic approach to sports photography. Go, George!
Read MoreHere’s another old Session I can’t wait to share with you in the spirit of summer fun. This quick documentary shoot for the Collins family at their farm was part of some practice photography I was doing for a workshop I was taking back in 2016. Many of these laid inspiration and vision for what I strive for in my current Sessions!
Read MoreThis hot, sticky weather has me reminiscing some of my favorite summer Sessions of the past. Last July, I had the opportunity to document the Eberle family as they awaited the arrival of their third child. I hope you enjoy these image highlights of their summer fun together.
Read MoreThere are an infinite amount of memories created inside homes. When Cody came to me with the idea of documenting his family interacting in their home before their parents sell it, I got SO excited. Cody and his brother basically grew up in this beautiful Wake Forest home with their parents and grandmother. Their interactions in this space are representative of so many special times together.
Read MoreAbout five months ago, I had the honor of documenting the daily life of one of my favorite families. Not only am I encouraged by the way Blake and Jessica lead their family, but their practices of faith, health and wellness are beyond inspiring! This Session is memorable for lots of reasons I think you'll agree with: adorable kids, sweet cuddles, wood chip eating, nose-picking, surprise visit from a slimy critter, sibling squabbles, family dinner, and more.
Read MoreA while back, I had the honor of documenting the everyday, real life of the Schulte family. I can tell you confidently, after only a few hours of being a fly on the wall, it is definitely no walk in the park to have four kids under four, especially when two of them are twin baby boys. Yet, I walked away so impressed and inspired by what I witnessed!
Read MoreEvery mom has been there... You know, those frustrating moments in the rush of the morning when your little ones are quite literally stepping on your toes and reaching for things you are trying to accomplish—including hot food on the stovetop...
Read MoreTime flies, so squeeze the ones you love a little tighter. And, by all means, don't forget to D O C U M E N T even the simplest things! The present quickly becomes the past. Documenting beauty in the everyday causes us to remember it, cherish it, and pass it on.

Read MoreAaron and Allison are happily married. They're dog people (as Bear will joyfully attest to). They're coffee people. They're adventurers, Jesus-lovers, Gospel-spreaders, motorcycle enthusiasts, artists, photographers and lovers of people. They are storytellers for so many others (including Chad and I!), so what an honor it was for me to document THEIR story during their favorite season together—Christmastime! A Real Life Session inside their cozy Fort Mill home was perfect to capture their genuine laughter and love for each other.
Read MoreMitch and Jenna are great friends of ours. When we lived in Wisconsin together, we were especially blessed by their friendship and involvement in our lives. Any moment now, we'll all be expecting an announcement from this family regarding the arrival of Baby Boy #2! I'm SO glad we snagged these documentary family photos of them back in July when we visited, as their season of life is very quickly about to change. I love these photo highlights...
Read MoreTomorrow, Emmalin turns one! To celebrate Adam and Melissa's first year of parenting, I wanted to share a few photo highlights of their family that I believe embody their genuine love for each other. Emmalin was 10 months old in these photos, and her cute expressions and content, easygoing personality are simply adorable. Even their dogs, Niko and Finly made an appearance!
Read MoreThe Stanigers are close, personal friends of ours; we go way back to the college days. Charlie and Amanda are so important in our lives! Chad and I like to think of ourselves as wannabe Aunt and Uncle to their two adorable daughters, and babysitting them used to be one of my favorite things to do. In fact, moving away from these sweet people was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do. When we get the chance to see them in-person, we soak in every moment! These are some of the most genuinely REAL family photos I've ever taken. I hope you enjoy the highlights!
Read MoreThis is the story of a young family of five. It's a family that loves well, plays hard and works together. James, Olivia and Amelia get along so well together, but they're not afraid to do their own thing, either. I've never met a set of parents with more patience and tender care than Andy and Kim! I think you'll love the everyday moments captured in this documentary, Real Life Session.
Read MoreBlake and Jessica welcomed little Sullivan to their family on January 12th. A few weeks ago, I got to be a fly on the wall to witness and document their family's typical Sunday morning routine. 4-month-old smiles and dimples have never been this cute... What an adorable little family! There was so much I appreciated about this documentary Real Life Session. The genuine integrity of this couple, their intentionally grounded family values, and their deep love for one another were so evident. I think you'll love this story & image highlights...
